What Genesys Nexus is, and what's under the hood.
A character manager for the Genesys tabletop RPG (Fantasy Flight Games / Edge Studio), built alongside the Dice Nexus roller. Game-rules content — species, careers, skills, talents, and equipment — and your characters are stored in Sanity; sign in to create and manage your own.
Genesys is a toolkit, not a single setting — Nexus supports Core, Realms of Terrinoth, Shadow of the Beanstalk, and any other setting added to the databank. What a setting offers — species, careers, gear — is scoped per setting, so the character creator only shows what belongs to the one you pick.
The dashboard and character creator are browsable without an account — you're only asked to sign in when you save a character. Once signed in, your characters are tied to your account and only visible to you.
Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, with Sanity for content and Clerk for authentication, using shadcn/ui.
